    Diaper of Choice for this toddler and infant household

    Luvs are the best.

    I have tried a lot of diapers with my boy, and they are some of the best diapers out there. The price is great, especially with the Amazon Family discount. The price, combined with the fact that they hold a lot of pee and poop, is why they get 5 stars.

    However, for those that want some extra details, they are purple, and they do have monkeys on them (2 different patterns), and they do have a very 'baby powder' smell. They also do not have the wetness indicator, which is not a huge deal when they are older, but when they are tiny babies, it can be very helpful.

    Lastly, all the sizes have the same pattern on them, and the size is on the front of the diaper. I have two kids now, and sometimes the diapers get mixed together. This means you really have to look at the diaper to get the correct size before putting it on. Or, in the case of my mother in law, not realize the size 2 is on the 3 year old until it is way too late.

    Still 5 stars for us, though I don't necessarily care about pattern or powder smell or the fact that the sizes all have the same graphic. It may mean a 3 or 4 star rating for others, though.

    Great nighttime diaper

    We love the Luvs diapers. They work as well or better than more expensive brands. We use them primarily at night due to our bad experiences with night time cloth diapering with previous children. These always last through the night with no leaking. It was very helpful to have this large box on hand. We also cloth diaper during the day, so it is hard for me to confirm it is a month's supply (as noted on the box) for someone using exclusively disposables. For us it was more than two months. I also liked that the box was divided up into smaller packages. That allowed me to get rid of the giant box & store the diapers easier.

    Not a bad price for Luvs. We mainly use Pampers but for the cheaper price we tried these Luvs. I like using these during the day but won't wear these on our little one at night. They just don't seem like they soak up enough liquid. After wearing these through the night when we would get the 6 month old up in the morning it looked like he had been sitting in water/pee for hours as everything was "wrinked" like when you have had your hands in water for extended period and a your hands get wrinked. This doesn't seem as bad when using other branded diapers. For daily use and changing your little one after an bowel movement or an hour or so of normal wetness these work great. He hasn't had any disasters using these diapers and they fit nicely around his legs so I would assume they won't leak. Just wish they would offer a little better dry protection and had a different color "wet indicator" as to when they were wet.

    Nice to keep stocked up for occasional visits from the little ones

    I've was keeping my niece's small daughter every day while she worked and attended college. This case of diapers has kept both of us well-supplied. I haven't ordered any lately, but classes have started back up and Troll-baby's in size 3 now. She drinks lots of fluids (very good), but also goes through a lot of diapers. The Leakguards keep her from watering my lap as much, and we can go a bit longer between changes. This is a real bargain if you like LUVs. Just make sure the diaper is fully open before you plant little bottoms on it to get the seal.

    I am a first time mom so buying diapers is totally new to me. A friend recommended Luvs as a way to spend less money on a good quality product. Turns out, she is right. I use Luvs on my child daily, and though we do have the occasional blowouts, this diaper has stood up to hours of wear. The fit is great. It does have a perfumed scent. And compared to P*****s Swaddlers, these have a plastic-y feel to them and makes crinkly sounds. No big deal though. Love Luvs for the savings!

    Luvs vs Munchkin from mother of 5

    I started using Munchkin the last two months after using Luvs for literally 11 years almost nonstop for five children. Luvs used to be much better, as they have changed a lot of things the last few years, including hiking the price! I'm finally done with Luvs. Luvs have a strong powdery scent out of the package, The munchkins have none, which also means they have a more noticeable scent when wet, for me this is preferred since I'm sensitive to unnatural scents. The luvs have a brighter more attention grabbing design on the outside of the diaper which screams "look at the little monkey baby!" when baby bends over. Munchkins are much more plain and have soft pastel colors,which are much more pleasant to me. Luvs diapers when wet are more gel-y, whereas the munchkins are more clumpy and firm. Those are the three main differences I've noticed, but I think I will try the Target brand still. I'm always looking for the best deal, but Luvs just aren't worth the cheap price (not as cheap anymore) for me.

    1 Star Still…

    They've increased the amount of the value box back to where it was about 2 years ago when they increased the price and decreased the number of diapers in the box. This came during the time they "redesigned" the diaper to the current "model". Basically they made the diaper worse quality and increased the price twice in one slap to the face of the long time customers. This time, they've just increase the price $10 without trying to hide the fact. CEO's getting itchy for another big end of year, multi-million dollar bonus! P&G makes LUVS as well as Pampers. Stay away from both…

    As for another review of the product with our current baby…
    We have another baby in the house and decided to try these out again. These leak….constantly. Case and point, I was sitting on the couch with my knees up and my baby sitting, back against my knees, looking at me. He decided it was time to poo, so he went. With very little delay, the yellow poo began to run out of his diaper, down my shirt and paints and on to the couch. My baby is very large and very chunky, there were no gaps in the elastic around the legs. The "moisture locking" feature completely failed. In fact when I changed the diaper, it was almost completely spotless, as if it actually repelled the new baby poo. Nearly all of his clothes at this point have yellow stains on the bum.

    There is almost no absorption in these diapers at all. Either that, or they takes so long to absorb anything that by the time they start the baby waste is already making its way past the elastic walls into the clothes. Try another brand, these just are not good after their redesign a few years back.

    ::UPDATE::- We've made the switch to Huggies. Same price and a few more diapers.

    ::UPDATE 2:: – Love the switch to Huggies. When my baby filled a Luvs diaper we had to change it immediately otherwise risk him wetting or yellowing his clothes which happened almost daily. But with the Huggies we can wait a little bit until he's finished and even wait on just wet diapers for a little while. Not only are we getting more diapers in the box with Huggies but now we use fewer every day due to not needing to change him nearly as much.

    Goodbye Luvs, it was fun while it lasted, but it's time we separated for good. No more of these "what if" flings. No more of these "but maybe they've changed" one time reunions. It's over……….It was you…not me. I'll take the kids, you take the shame.

    Good diapers if you don't mind blowouts

    Loved them at first but two major complaints… 1 – they leave some sort of residue on our baby's butt, which I'm assuming is the built in freshening smell that these have. 2 – our baby has a blow out weekly in these, and we never had that problem with diapers from Honest or Pampers.
